A community energy record number of over 1000 council owned homes have received free solar panels. Over 75% of the homes are bungalows, in which elderly tenants or tenants with existing health conditions live. 25% of our residents are stuck on pre-payment meters whihch typically makes electricity bills higher. By having solar panels installed in their homes they are saving ~30% on the electricity bills every year.
